Our Mission

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical  standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Rotarians live and conduct themselves by the "Four Way Test"

bulletIs it the TRUTH?
bulletIs it FAIR to all concerned?
bulletWill it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
bulletWill it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Key Benefits

bulletPhilanthropy
bulletRotary Foundation

The Rotary Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs.

bulletHartford Rotary Do-Good Fund

The Club's own 501(c)(3) corporation formed to support projects on a local level.  Funding comes primarily from members and limited fundraising activities.  For the year ended June 30, 2007, the Club provided financial assistance to 3 organizations in the Greater Hartford area.

bulletNetworking

Rotary provides a wonderful opportunity to meet individuals who share a common interest in community service that you might not meet in your normal travels.  Rotarians have made life-time friendships with Rotarians in town as well as around the world.  However, if your only reason for joining Rotary is to develop business contacts, this is not the organization for you.
