Club members work with the teachers, administrators and parents to help students returning to school from summer vacation along with new students attending the J.C. Clark School.

bulletVocational Service Award

Every year the Hartford Rotary Club recognizes an individual who has shown outstanding leadership in the Hartford community.  These individuals have demonstrated consistent leadership in revitalizing and improving the economic, physical, and social characteristics of our neighborhoods.

bulletJunior Rotarians

The Club sponsors two students (a senior and junior) from the three High Schools to join us at our once a month at our weekly meetings.  Each student is matched with a mentor with the goal of matching a mentor's career with the student's career interests.  The Junior Rotarian program is designed to offer the students an opportunity to interact with business and professional leaders of the community.

bulletJohn C. Clark School

The Club has been working with the teachers and administrators to assist with first day of school activities; reading program consisting of matching volunteer readers with classrooms, and support parent/teacher activities.

bulletInternational Service

The Club participates in Group Exchanges with other Rotary Clubs through out the world.  This program offers a richly rewarding experience for Hartford Rotarians and their counterparts.  The most recent group came from India.

bulletR.Y.L.A. (Rotary Youth Leadership Assembly) was officially adopted by Rotary International in 1971.  R.Y.L.A. aims to:
bulletDemonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth;
bulletProvide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders;
bulletEncourage leadership of youth by youth; and
bulletPublicly recognize young people who are rendering service to their communities.

At the District level, the Hartford Rotary Club sponsors high school students to attend the June activities held at Springfield College's East Campus.  The activities included leadership, confidence building and trust building exercises.
